American School & University 2008 Citation Winner, Best Early Childhood Facility
Additions, renovations and site improvements to the Augusta Street school.
Part of district wide construction program, an outdated structure built in 1917 was replaced with a state-of-the-art 21st century high performance school. Part of the original building was salvaged and altered to accommodate administrative and support spaces. The addition includes 24 new classrooms, a new kitchen and playground. The building was designed to obtain silver LEED certification and places particular emphasis in day lighting. This building is also used as a learning tool.
